This website is dedicated to the unique range of wind-up gramophones manufactured by the shortlived company of C. H. Gilbert & Co Ltd, of 75 Arundel Street, Sheffield, England, and 23. South Street, Hull, from 1922 to 1931.

As a former collector of Gilbert Gramophones, I produced this website to help increase knowledge and awareness of these fascinating machines. Unfortunately, I have had to dispose of my collection (85 machines!) due to loss of storage space. I intend to leave this site on the web, so that owners (past, present and future) have a point of reference in years to come.
